Spatial Analysis of Urban Housing Projects and Their Role in Addressing the Housing Deficit in the Qadisiyah Governorate
Abstract
The housing crisis problem is one of the most important topics in housing studies and it is one of the broad and complex topics, and this problem in Iraq has become one of the most prominent problems that the country suffers from, and despite the procedures and initiatives adopted by the state to solve that problem from building housing complexes or distributing plots of land However, these measures did not provide radical solutions to this problem. .
From this standpoint, the topic of the research, which aims to diagnose the reality of the housing crisis in the Qadisiyah governorate, came by comparing the number of constructed housing with the number of families, as well as identifying administrative solutions to address this crisis and trying to alleviate its severity and reduce its effects, and the research included three topics that concerned the first topic To study the reality of the housing deficit in the governorate and to address the indicators of the housing crisis in the governorate, while the second topic concerned with studying the housing projects that were implemented in the governorate after 2003, while the third topic clarified the role of low-cost housing projects (prefabricated construction) in addressing the housing crisis in Governorate, and the research reached a number of conclusions and recommendations.
