The Effect of Arts (Interior Decoration) in Improving the Morale of the Patient
(An exploratory study on improving the general appearance of hospitals and its impact on improving the psychological state of patients)
Abstract
Based on the conclusions drawn, the research concluded a set of proposals:
1- One of the important indicators for judging the quality of health services is the visual indicator, “everything that the recipient of the health service sees from the material supplies in the hospital.” It is necessary to have a dimension in hospitals at a high level that draws the attention of the customer.2- The process is complementary. In return for having an appearance and decoration that gives the best picture of the hospital, other dimensions must be available (reliability, responsiveness, guarantee and empathy), otherwise the intended goal cannot be achieved.3- Invite hospital administrations to strive hard to provide the most modern and necessary medical devices and equipment to accommodate all cases that come to the hospital.4- The need for the medical staff to adhere to clean uniforms, as well as general hygiene, maintenance work and renovation of decorations for all hospital facilities.5- The need to keep the physical facilities clean and organized, and to constantly subject them to modernization and to keep abreast of developments in the field of medical technologies in order to improve the quality of health service.6- The internal environment of hospitals affects the psychological aspect of the patient and the course of the treatment process, which is reflected either negatively or positively on him, as the internal environment of hospitals differs from other public buildings and requires conditions, specifications and standards according to which work is assumed within the general principles of designing hospitals.
