The Effect of using the Six Hats Strategy and Multimedia in the Arabic Language Learning and Metacognition Skills Development in Fine Arts Institutes

Abstract

The current research aims to know the effect of using the six hats strategy and multimedia in acquiring Arabic language and developing metacognitive skills in the Institutes of Fine Arts. The researcher adopted the experimental design with three equivalent groups, two experimental groups and the third is a control with a post-test. The experiment was applied to students. Fourth grade in the institutes of fine arts for boys and girls in Baghdad In the first semester of the academic year 2018-2019, two tests were prepared (achievement, metacognition skills), and the research reached:

- The use of the Six Hats strategy and multimedia had a positive effect in improving the achievement of the students of the two experimental groups in metacognition skills.

 The use of the six hats strategy and multimedia have a positive effect in increasing the degrees of sports flexibility for the students of the two experimental groups compared to the control group. The researcher attributes this to the six hats strategy as a model to stimulate thinking and thrill among students, and that multimedia is in line with the current technological development of students.
