Effectiveness of the Picture Pix Program in Developing Communicative Skills in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Abstract
The present study aimed to The Effectiveness of Picture Communication Program in Developing Communication Skills in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, the study sample consisted of (20) children with autism spectrum disorder from one of the day care centers and institutions, in Al-Kharj city, Saudi Arabia, They are divided into two groups, one of which is an experimental group that consisted of (10) autistic children. The Picture Pix Program applied to it, and the second was a control group consisting of (10) autistic children, whose ages ranged from (3-8) years, with an intelligence factor (80-90) degree.
The study used the autistic child scale, the list of symptoms of autism disorder, the Gwadar scale of intelligence, the communication skills scale for children with autism spectrum disorder (the researcher's preparation), The Picture Pix Program.
the study resulted in the effectiveness of the program, as it showed efficacy in developing verbal, non-verbal and social communication skills for children with autism spectrum disorder, as well as developing some self-care skills, sensory, emotional and motor skills.
