The Effectiveness of Public Relations in the Phenomenon of Electronic Blackmail
(A field study of the activities of the Ministry of Interior of Iraqi and youth universities for the period 1/1 / 2019-1 / 1/2020)

Abstract
The research highlights public relations in the Iraqi Ministry of the Interior, as it is the institution's knowledge of crime for what it constitutes
The crime of electronic extortion is one of the new crimes that threatens the security and safety of society, as it violates the individual’s shyness, which makes him vulnerable to violation, in addition to living situations of psychological and social conflict, pressure and threat, which necessitates a social and legal awareness of the public in how to deal with the means and legalize virtual relationships with Some of them are on social media, especially among university youth, who are more used to, interact with and target by criminals.
Results have been reached, the most prominent of which is the effectiveness of public relations to address the phenomenon of electronic blackmail in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, and the diversity of activities related to public relations, including direct activities such as workshops, seminars, lectures and indirect posters, announcements, and campaigns. It was clear that the success of public relations in creating a knowledge awareness of Young people reported issues of electronic blackmail, and a large percentage of them were not subjected to blackmail because they know how to deal with it, as young people have sufficient understanding that makes them not victims of this crime.
