Factors Affecting the Development of Special Education in Britain and France
(A philosophical analysis)
Abstract
Studying the history of special education in the United Kingdom and France is crucial for understanding the origins of special education, which began in these European countries. This paper explores the factors that influenced the development of this history, focusing on three main aspects: social, political, and economic. These factors are presented chronologically, detailing their evolution and highlighting key international policies, social movements, and economic activities. The paper also addresses significant contemporary issues, such as inclusive education and higher education for individuals with disabilities. By comparing these two countries, the study discusses these origins by referencing relevant literature and specialized sources, including books, reports, and global legislative policies.
