The Impact of Short Videos via Digital Platforms on the Mental Health of the Audience

This current study falls under the category of qualitative and quantitative study, as it relies in its approach on the focus group discussion tool, with deep application to the creativity of university youth. As for the questionnaire tool, it was on a reliable group of all video clip creators, and the number of participants was more than 200 people, their ages ranging from 13 40 and above, which included 20 questions about the impact of short videos. The study revealed that the application helped users to fully fill and overcome feelings of loneliness.

The study also found that the most prominent positive psychological effects are: Advocacy uses, escaping stress, and feeling pleasure and joy. The most prominent bad psychological effects have appeared, which are jealousy, frustration and depression, anxiety and disorder, obsession, harassment and bullying.

While the study showed that the most prominent positive social effects are: A supportive tool for social communication, awareness campaigns, acquiring new skills, and learning about new products. The most prominent negative social effects are poor actual social communication, family discontent, isolation, introversion, and poor academic achievement.

The results of the study were interpreted and discussed in light of the results of some previous studies, and the study ended with some suggestions directed to those concerned with social and psychological affairs and researchers in the field of research.
