الملخص
تتناول هذه الدراسة مفهوم الازدواجية اللغوية في اللغة العربية وتطورها التاريخي منذ بداياتها في عام 1959 على يد فيرقسون حتى يومنا الحاضر. تستعرض الدراسة المراحل المختلفة التي مر بها هذا المفهوم، بدءاً من نموذج فيرقسون الثنائي الذي يميز بين المستوى العالي (الفصحى) والمستوى المنخفض (العامية)، مروراً بتوسيع فيشمان لهذا المفهوم، وصولاً إلى نماذج المستويات المتعددة التي قدمها بلانك وبدوي وغيرهم. كما تناقش الدراسة التحول من مفهوم الازدواجية اللغوية البسيط إلى مفهوم الاسترسال اللغوي الذي يقر بوجود مستويات وسيطة بين الفصحى والعامية. وتختم الدراسة بمناقشة الدراسات الحديثة حول التناوب اللغوي بين الفصحى والعامية في وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، مستعرضة الوظائف المختلفة التي يؤديها هذا التناوب والعوامل المؤثرة فيه. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن المشهد اللغوي في العالم العربي أكثر تعقيداً مما افترضته النماذج المبكرة، وأن العلاقة بين الفصحى والعامية علاقة ديناميكية تتأثر بعوامل اجتماعية وثقافية وتقنية متعددة.
