الملخص
هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على الاتجاهات المعاصرة في التربية من أجل المواطنة العالمية وإمكانية الإفادة منها بسلطنة عُمان، واتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، كما استخدمت تحليل الوثائق في جمع البيانات والمعلومات. وتوصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود اهتمام بالتربية من أجل المواطنة العالمية في سلطنة عمان يتمثل في فلسفة التربية وأهداف التعليم، والخطط الاستراتيجية للتعليم، وبعض المشروعات المدرسية مثل المدارس المنتسبة لليونسكو، وبعض البرامج مثل البرنامج الوطني لتنمية مهارات الشباب. كما توصلت النتائج إلى وجود قصور في التربية من أجل المواطنة العالمية في برامج إعداد وتدريب المعلمين، والتركيز في المناهج الدراسية على الدراسات الاجتماعية، وغياب أدوار واضحة لمديري المدارس في هذا المجال، وقلة توظيف الأنشطة اللاصفية.
